CLEANING
The removal of dirt, varnish and previous restoration from the surface of the painting.
CONSOLIDATION
The reattachment of loose areas of paint and ground using a suitable adhesive.
REPAIR OF COMPOSITION ORNAMENTATION
Areas where the 'compo' is damaged or missing can be reconstructed and gilded to match the original ornamentation.
